THE VERIFICATION.
The claim was subjected to verification using the Info Verifier, an expert fact-checking tool, by inputting the claim statement for first-hand analysis.

Results from the tool affirmed that the claim is false, as seen in the picture below.

To further verify the results of the Info Verifier regarding the claim, we conducted aGoogle Reverse Image Search to trace its source. Upon re-examining the screenshot, it appears to have originated from a Facebook post named Yasin Keeya. Results from the Google Reverse Image search were similar, but none of them was of Yasin Keeya. A subsequent search for additional context led to the discovery of a Facebook post published by Yasin Keeya on 2nd February, 2026, featuring the same caption.

This means that the content initially appeared on Facebook before a screenshot of the post was later shared by @kliz.venus on TikTok.
According to the posting history of Yasin Keeya, the page frequently posts/publishes unverified and misleading claims, particularly concerning NUP leaders, political events, and global news events. Many posts on this account contain inaccurate information, claims and exaggerated headlines without supporting evidence. The account has a record of spreading misleading content, which raises concerns about its reliability as a source of factual information.
According to a phone interview that was followed up with a WhatsApp text with Hon. David Lewis Rubongoya, the Secretary General of the National Unity Platform (NUP), he denied the claim. I quote, “…that’s not true, on the phone call. He further added that they always update the nation on matters that require their attention, and this is not one of them.

Additionally, an in-depth search on the White House website for the Briefings and Statements website was carried out, and no official statement from the White House nor media reports attest to it.

Both the Facebook post by Yasin Keeya as well as a screenshot by @kliz.venus are FALSE.
