After over six months of non-public appearance, the Kabaka of Buganda Kingdom, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II has spoken to his subjects from Zambia.
Below is the king’s message;
I send you greetings my subjects, I’m the King of Buganda basing here where we came to seek medical attention and resting, following doctors’ advise as given to us.
It has been a while, without hearing from you following the orders of the doctors that stopped us from executing most of the duties.
Our health condition, improves each day and we’repected to return home soon.
We thank God who has protected us, and Buganda Kingdom for praying for us always and never losing hope amidst extreme challenges.
We thank the Katikkiro, kingdom ministers and all kingdom officials for continuing to protect and promoting kingdom duties in times of our absence.
We’re following everything that is happening in Buganda and we thank all of you for always respecting and promoting the works of the kingdom.
We thank our people who have followed the discipline, culture, norms and customs in this trying moment.
As we always eco, our strength is in unity and we call upon you to remain calm and united. May the Lord protect you.
