Al Hajji Hassan Basajjabalaba has Saturday been unconditionally endorsed by fellow contenders as the National Resistance Movement, NRM Entrepreneur League chairman.
While at Nakaero State Lodge, Hon. Sanjay Tanna and King Ceaser Mulenga have agreed, withdrawn, and endorsed Basajjabalaba as the chairman of the League.
Under the presence of President Yoweri Museveni, the NRM prarty chairman, was facilated by Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa, Speaker of Parliament, and ground for the decision, they say, it was based on the spirit of party unity and cohesion.
“We have done this in spirit of party unity and cohesion as emphasised by our party chairman.” Read the document.
This follows the early this week’s chaos by supporters of both Bassajabalaba and Mulenga, that left property destroyed, some injured at Kololo NRM delegates conference.
“We unconditionally endorsed Al Hajj Hassan Basajjabalaba as the unopposed Chairperson of the NRM Entrepreneurs League for the period 2025-2031” reads the signed joint communique document.
Much as Tanna was part of this meeting, but he hhad earlier on quit the campaigns, citing several irregularities.
As of now, a number of disgruntled and dissatisfied members have threaten to quit or cut off loyalty from the party, something that many observers have warned they it might cause a massive disaster within the party if not well handled.
