Human and political activists from different social movements have launched a campaign dubbed “#Tubaboole” aimed at isolating all corrupt politicians and incompetent leaders.

While addressing the media in Kampala on Wednesday morning, activists from among other groups, Alternative Social movement, Sauti Ya vijan, Jobless Brother, NRM Poor Youth, Human Rights Defenders of Uganda, Generational Hustlers Initiative said, that the campaign is aimed at isolating the corrupt from public places and events like worshiping places, markets, weddings and burials.

They further claimed that the magnitude at which national resources are being swindled is beyond imaginations, and it has ceased to be corruption but rather broad day thuggery and theft at a large scale.

Mzee Bwanika of Sauti Ya Vijan and Mayanja Robert from the Jobless Brotherhood said that parliament hasn’t only been declared a crime scene but also unworthy for school children to tour around on allegations that it nolonger holds its values to Ugandans.

“We appeal to parents to stop paying schools for parliament trips since there is nothing honorable to learn out of such tours,” Bwanika noted.

“We even call upon the traditional shrines and ancestors to desist from working on such corrupt officials much as we know they have a lot of stolen money,” Mayanja added.

They claim that the current theft hasn’t only been exhibited in Parliament but also headed president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, who, on several occasions, has protected the corrupt.

“We appeal to all Ugandans to avoid these thieves by shouting and making alarms whenever you see them to make it hard for them to enjoy the loot,” Nana Mwafrika from Human Rights Defenders Uganda said.

“This campaign doesn’t eliminate opposition because we have discovered that the same people share our resources and present minority reports of two or so pages to justify their cause,” Ssempala Zaidi from NRM Poor Youth said.

“Whistle, shout at them, don’t allow them to even hold a microphone in any public events like burials and weddings. It’s sad to note that these thieves are making those of us who hail from Western Uganda to be seen as looters and thieves,” Arinaitwe Phionah a Female Rights defender narrated.

“Speaker Among has used her excitement not only to robe Ugandans but also lead a den of thieves. Today, Wednesday 10th, 2024, we declare our return to the streets, and we are coming after you,” Norman Tumuhimbise, National Coordinator Alternative Social Movement.

Norman added that “painting pigs of different colors for you isn’t enough given your greed, but watch the space, we have come back reloaded and determined than ever before,” He added.

Ojobile Augustine revealed how the speaker Anita Among isn’t only a public nuisance and thief who, through the window, became Bukedea Woman Member of parliament.

Katumba Gerald of Generational Hustlers Initiative expressed concern how leaders have lost respect amongst those they aught to lead.

Bigirwa Moses who happens to be the president Eastern Revolutionary Platform re-echoed how he was the first person in 2021 to whistle blow the corruption drum before being flamed and jailed for the same.

He further expressed gratitude towards fellow activists who saw it prudent and re-organize for the fight against corruption.

Bigirwa however, expressed dismay towards religious leaders who share the loot with the alleged corrupt official and politicians by giving them from seats and microphones because they give in huge offertories.

“If it means leading church services by ourselves we shall but won’t stand religious double standards by becoming corruption accomplices” Bigirwa emphasized.

Richard Kilekyankuba from NRM Poor Youth and Kawempe Republic revealed his re4adiness to be killed or jailed over the fight against corruption.

“I can’t just look on when Anita’s boys quoter is equivalent to the school my child would desire to study from” Kile Kyankuba said.

“Her house is better than most regional hospitals but all this is out of the loot, I am ready for be killed if not jailed, but i won’t abandon the fight” He added.

These activists promised to release the new added in tactics in addition to pigs and the isolation campaign and declared all Members of Parliament in the 11th parliament as “MPigs” who are suspects at the crime scene hence candidate for public arrest (isolation)
